Why?

The answer is in the WHY.

Why do we do the things we do?

One who is righteous must do what is right above pleasing ALL others.
If one who is righteous does not do what is right,
what good is one's righteous?

In other words, the agenda of the righteous is to do the will of God
above doing anything else.

Is one righteous because one does what is right? Or
Does one do what is right because one is righteous?

What kind of love is love that isn't shown?

What you do says a lot about you.

In the words of the theme song from Ever Increasing Faith Ministries,
"Evidence, Evidence, what does your life say?"

He who claims to know God should do the things that are of God.

One who does the will of God uses the wisdom of God
which exemplifies the character of God.

Is your living according to the will of God?

Actions work to achieve goals.
If the goal is not desired, change the actions.

To sin is to rebel against the known will of God.

Jesus said, "If you love me, you will obey what I command."

Can God trust you (with favor)?

Sometimes when we sin, it may not be that we don't love God:
it may be that we love something or someone more than God;
or it may be that we fear something or someone more than we love God.

Nonetheless, when the righteous does wrong, he/she repents.
When the unrighteous does wrong, he/she receives pleasure or may feel sorry.
Evil doers seek to conceil the truth.

As the truth revels, no lie shall live forever.
Whatsoever a man soweth,
that shall he also reap.

There is a saying that says, "When good people do nothing, evil will reign."

Godly persons should never stand in agreement with wrong doing or ungodly behavior,
whether it's father, mother, wife, children, brothers, or sisters.
If or when this should occur, that "godly" person has just shown that God is not first in his/her life.
Nonetheless, when the righteous does wrong, he/she repents.

Will YOU take YOUR stand for holiness?
YOUR stand for righteousness?
And be counted among them that shall reign with Christ.

There is no righteousness outside of Christ.

Summary:
As you can see from the previous statements and questions,
the life we live is about the decisions we make.
Why do we do the things we do?
Does it really matter?
God knows all and sees all.
Nothing and no one will escape the just judgement of God.

Is YOUR sin cleansed by the blood of Christ?

In the words of the great gospel artist Donnie McClurkin,
"Living, he loved me. Dying, he saved me. Buried he cared my sins far away.
Rising he justified. Freed me forever. One day he's coming back. Glorious Day!"

Closing Song:
You came from heaven to earth
To show the way
From the earth to the cross
My debt to pay
From the cross to the grave
From the grave to the sky
Lord I lift your name on high
