If the Word

If the Word has no bearing in one's life
and the decisions one make,
how can one attest to one's salvation?

---

There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death.

Jesus said,
"I tell you the truth, if anyone keeps my word,
he will never see death."

I am not ashamed of the gospel,
because it is the power of God
for the salvation of everyone who believes:
first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

For in the gospel a righteousness
from God is revealed, a righteousness
that is by faith from first to last,
just as it is written:
"The righteous will live by faith."

Jesus said,
"Consider carefully what you hear,"
he continued. "With the measure you use,
it will be measured to you -- and even more.

Whoever has will be given more;
whoever does not have, even what he has
will be taken from him."

Jesus said,
"The Spirit gives life;
the flesh counts for nothing.
The words I have spoken to you are
spirit and they are life."

Now the Bereans were of more noble character
than the Thessalonians, for they received
the message with great eagerness and
examined the Scriptures every day to see
if what Paul said was true.

Jesus did many other miraculous signs
in the presence of his disciples,
which are not recorded in this book.

But these are written that you may believe
that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by
believing you may have life in his name.

"The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God stands forever."

(Proverbs 14:12; John 8:51; Romans 1:16,17; Mark 4:24,25;
John 6:63; Acts 17:11; John 20:30,31; Isaiah 40:8; 1 Peter 1:24,25;
All scripture taken from New International Version.)

Will YOU apply the Word in YOUR life
or do YOU have another word to live by?
